The Origins of the Name Peace
You may be wondering how Chingri Awungshi became known as Peace. As it turns out, Peace is simply the English translation of Chingri. Peace hails from Manipur, where he grew up and attended school. From a young age, he had an interest in sketches and drawing, and it was during this time that he first noticed people in his neighborhood tattooing themselves and each other.
A Journey into the World of Tattooing
Peace's interest in tattooing only grew from there. In the early 2000s, he began experimenting with traditional tattoos, both on himself and his friends. As he continued to refine his skills, he eventually joined a reputable tattoo studio to learn the art of professional tattooing. By 2010, he had become a fully-fledged professional tattoo artist.
Peace's dedication to the craft has led him to constantly improve his skills and techniques. He has come a long way from his early days of using traditional herbal colors and needles, and now uses the best-in-class skin-tested tattoo inks imported from the US. To become the skilled artist he is today, Peace underwent five years of rigorous training and worked in various reputed tattoo studios before finally joining Xing Tattoo Studio.
A Master of All Tattoo Categories
Peace's expertise extends to all tattoo categories, from small designs to full sleeves. However, he is particularly passionate about black and gray tattoos, which he excels at. He also has a special love for Japanese tattoo concepts, which often feature intricate designs and detailed shading.
